Suankularb Wittayalai Thonburi
International Program
(International Student)

About :

Suankularb Wittayalai Thonburi School (SKT) is a secondary school in Thailand serving grades 7 through 12, marking the tenth institution affiliated with the prestigious Suankularb Wittayalai network. The school's 12-acre campus was built on the former Bangmod Orange Orchard, a plot donated to the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) by Miss Panadda Suwannanon. This charitable donation was made both to commemorate the Sixtieth Anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s (Rama IX) Accession to the Throne and as a memorial to the donor's father, Mr. Plung Suwannanon, a Suankularb alumnus. Construction on the site officially began on September 21, 2006.

International Programme (SKTIP)

The SKTIP curriculum blends the Cambridge International Curriculum with the Thai National Curriculum. Designed for students aiming for international universities both in Thailand and abroad, graduates earn dual certification from Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and OBEC.

The program is split into two distinct tiers:

1. Lower Secondary Level (Years 8–10 / Ages 12–15)

This 3-year program culminates in an OBEC Lower Secondary Certificate (Mattayomsuksa 3). Students must complete 88.0 total credits (54.0 fundamental, 34.0 additional) alongside a structured testing timeline:

  • Year 8: TOEFL Junior exam for English proficiency assessment.

  • Year 9: TOEIC exam alongside Cambridge Checkpoint Tests in Mathematics, Science, and English to map academic strengths and weaknesses.

  • Year 10: CU-TEP exam and the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics exam.

2. Upper Secondary Level (Years 11–13 / Ages 15–18)

This advanced 3-year track leads to an OBEC Upper Secondary Certificate (Mattayomsuksa 6). Students complete 100.0 total credits (44.0 fundamental, 56.0 additional) and undergo intensive international benchmarking:

  • Year 11: IELTS exam for English proficiency. Students must take at least 7 IGCSE subjects across the upper secondary level to earn the International Certificate of Education (ICE) from Cambridge.

  • Years 12 & 13: Students take the SAT, GRE, or CAT depending on their target university track, alongside at least 4 Cambridge Advanced Level (A-Level) examinations.
